In your Agreement to Serve, you asked the OIA to provide you with information to meet your obligations under Standard 8 of the Ethics Standards. The OIA is providing this information to you. Please give a copy of the OIA Organizational Disclosure form, the reports that accompany this form, and your Agreement to Serve, to the parties in your case as part of your disclosures.
1. At Disclosures about OIA Relationships with Parties, Lawyers, and Neutral Arbitrators, the OIA has posted disclosures relating to its relationships with parties, lawyers and neutral arbitrators. (See Ethics Standard 8(b)(1) and 8(c).) This information is current as of the date marked on the bottom left-hand corner.
2. At Ethics Closed, the OIA has posted the names of the attorneys, the prevailing party, the date of disposition, and the amount of awards in cases that were closed due to action by the neutral arbitrator since July 1, 2002. All cases the OIA administers are consumer arbitrations. (See Ethics Standard 8(b)(2).) This information is current as of the date marked on the top left-hand corner.
3. Reports of the number of pending and prior cases the parties and the lawyers in your present case have had with the OIA, and the number of prior cases in which that party was the prevailing party are included with the Agreement to Serve. (See Ethics Standard 8(b)(3).) Each page reports the number of cases for the different attorneys or for Kaiser, respectively. This information is current as of the date marked on the top left-hand corner.
